Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Mobile & Backend Developer for a project-based engagement to maintain, stabilise, and further develop our existing LPG inventory and warehouse management system.
The system consists of an Android application (Kotlin/Java), a PHP-based backend, and a MySQL database hosted on GoDaddy (Plesk environment). The primary objective of this role is to ensure data integrity, transactional accuracy, and system reliability while also designing and implementing additional features and improved business logic to better support warehouse movements, approvals, and stock tracking workflows. This role requires strong debugging capability, structured thinking, and the ability to safely make improvements in a live production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and improve the Android application (Java), including API integrations and data handling.
Maintain and refactor existing PHP backend code handling inventory, approvals, and warehouse movements.
Ensure data integrity across MySQL database tables, especially stock_in / stock_out transactional logic.
Identify and fix inconsistencies between Android app, backend APIs, and database records.
Design and implement additional features and improved business logic to enhance stock tracking accuracy.
Optimise and improve warehouse movement logic to prevent data gaps and duplication.
Improve API validation, structure, and error handling.
Optimise database queries and indexing for performance and scalability.
Work safely within a live hosted production environment (GoDaddy / Plesk).
Document technical changes and ensure structured version control.
Requirements
Strong experience in Android development (Kotlin required, Java for legacy support).
Solid experience with PHP backend development.
Strong knowledge of MySQL database design, relationships, and optimisation.
Experience working on transactional or inventory-based systems.
Ability to analyse and improve existing business logic.
Experience debugging production systems involving App ↔ API ↔ Database flows.
Comfortable working independently in a project-based structure.
Strong problem-solving mindset with focus on system stability and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience maintaining and refactoring legacy PHP systems.
Experience in ERP, warehouse, logistics, or stock management systems.
Experience designing scalable API structures.
Familiarity with production hosting environments (Plesk, GoDaddy, cPanel).
Understanding of security best practices and input validation.
Experience implementing logging and monitoring systems.
Comfortable working directly with the business owner.
