Job Overview
We are seeking an Android Software Engineer to port our existing iOS app to Android. The candidate will be responsible for matching existing functionality as well as working closely with our backend, iOS & Web team to roll out new screens and features. While iOS experience is not required, it is recommended to ensure feature parity across platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Work with Android API networking to integrate backend services. Build internal classes and models to achieve technical functionality with Kotlin. Port existing SwiftUI components and views to Jetpack Compose. Quickly debug and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth application performance. Collaborate with team members to ensure development aligns with project goals and roadmap.
Requirements
A professional of minimum of 3 years with strong experience with Jetpack Compose. Ability to recreate pages and components from Figma designs and iOS screenshots. Proficiency with API networking, RESTful APIs and JSON parsing. Experience with version control tools such as Git and GitHub pull requests.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with SwiftUI and the iOS development lifecycle. Familiarity with backend development via JSON-RPC 2.0. Previous experience with the Plaid Link SDK for iOS, Web, and Android. Has built and scaled an app on the Play Store previously.
